Solar Cables
NEC solar cables are designed for connecting the photovoltaic panels generating DC i.e. direct current. These wires are suitable for a nominal DC voltage of 1.5kV. These cables can be used indoors & outdoors and have high mechanical strength to survive the extreme weather conditions which arise in any fixed, mobile, roof or architecturally integrated photovoltaic installation.
Application:
They are designed and tested to operate at a maximum conductor temperature of 90°C and for 20,000 hours up to 120°C therefore, the expected period of use is 30 years under normal usage conditions.
